Sharon's Journey of Life, Love and Friendship

Hi everyone, Sharon's journey continues.

This is a fundraiser to help support Sharon Carlson and her family through her journey of living with cancer.

Sharon experienced a seizure at work Thursday evening 8/25/2022 shortly before the end of her shift. She was treated immediately by her talented and caring coworkers; she was transferred to the ED stab room where she was stabilized and received great care!

True Sharon style, she was concerned about all of you, friends and family and how this is impacting you.

The news was pretty devasting, Sharon had never had a seizure before and they found a brain tumor. The journey has been long and bumpy and hard on Sharon and her family and friends.

Sharon, who NEVER asks for help, yet gives her last dollar to help someone else, has agreed to let us help her. During the Nurse's strike of 2016, Sharon went without, so others wouldn't, by helping spear head a very successful giving tree campaign and holiday giving tree, to take care of all the ANW Nurse's who were in need.

While the continued support of family and friends has sustained Sharon on her journey, she is again concerned not for herself but of the loved ones caring for her and at her side daily.

Sharon's loved ones have been at her side daily, exhausting their paid leave. This adds undo stress for Sharon as she comes nearer to the end of her journey. She is still caretaking those around her and needs support so that she is not alone near the end of her fabulous life journey.

Sharon and her loved one are sponsoring a celebration of life where she can share her abounding love in person.

The most frequent description of Sharon by her PACU friends is "mother". She is always cooking for us and looking out for those in need.

Now it is time for us to mother her and take care of her.
