My best friend and her family need your help, though they'd never ask. Sharon's world was flipped upside down when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Ovarian Cancer in September and also diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Pancreatic Cancer in October. Her cancer diagnosis is very rare, very complex and there are many moving parts to her aggressive treatment which started on November 1st..

Since the age of 14 (and probably before that) Sharon has been volunteering her time. From EMT, Firefighter at Ground Zero following 9/11 to Coaching and Mentoring hundreds of local kids, Sharon never stops supporting friends, family and perfect strangers. If you are seeing this, chances are that you know Sharon and love her. If you’ve met Sharon, you already know….she’s a wife to Pete and has 4 biological children 5, 8, 10 and 12 years old….and a hundred more kids she considers family. If your child is one of them, then you know she loves them like her own. She’s the most selfless person I have ever met. She will gladly give you the shirt off her back, smile as she gives you the food off her plate and open her door to host countless holidays, sleepovers and parties.

Sharon never asks for or expects anything in return, but now is your chance to repay her kindness. Now is our chance to raise HER up. The Shoemakers are ready and raring to fight, but Sharon’s medical bills, as you might expect, are piling up quickly. Please help them to continue to afford the best possible care for Sharon.
