Sharonda’s Brain Surgery and Recovery Fund
Donation protected
Thank you for taking your time out to read this for my daughter Sharonda Davis. As most of you have grown to know and love as Rhonipooh to family, Ronda in Brooklyn where she was born and raised, and Shay to her Florida friends and family where she resides at now.
On April 13th 2020, Sharonda deeply expressed her concern with an ongoing migrane she’s been fighting on the right side of her head for about 3 weeks. Immediately taken to do a MRI, she was alarmed with the first set of life changing news. Doctors found a 3.4cm Brain Tumor.
Hospitalized for 9 days before the First Surgery on April 22nd, 2020 the journey has only begun. On this given Wednesday, Sharonda underwent: A Right Frontoparietal Craniotomy in which part of the skull bone is temporarily removed to expose access to the brain where the Neuro Surgeon can remove as much as possible with little to no permanent brain damage.
As we try our best to bring her ease and peace of mind, shes concerned with the following :
A) She has not been at her new job for 90 days which means by law she is ineligible for health coverage through work. No FMLA, No PTO, No Short or Long Term Disability. NOTHING.
B) Per DCF of Central Florida, she does not qualify for Medicaid because the determining factor is she does not have children under 18. Left feeling her life and health is meaningless unless she is a mom.
Although the first 10 hour surgery went well but didn’t remove ALL, shes expected to be out of work healing for 2 months before step 2 of removing more of the tumor that was inaccessible which will be through a Transsphenoidal surgery.
There is no donation too small or big to help ease our fighter / survivor with:
-Out of pocket surgeries, medical bills, tests, labs, treatments, and prescriptions.
With God, family, friends, even strangers near or far. It would be an honor to extend love, prayers, and support. Peace love and blessings to you all!
