At the young age of 46, Sharon Young & her mother Nancy’s lives took an unexpected turn. It had been less than a year since Nancy Young had laid her husband to rest after he lost his battle against cancer. Now Nancy was getting the phone call that her only daughter was in critical condition at a Colorado hospital. It was a phone call that would change their lives forever.
It has been almost 8 years since Sharon suffered a hemorrhagic (bleeding) stroke that has left her left side paralyzed and under the care of her 80-year-old mother. During that time, Sharon has spent countless hours researching the most currently available state-of-the-art recovery methods to gain back her independence.
To that end, Sharon is filled with gratitude and excitement to participate in two therapies offered by New Life Medical Group in Jackson, Tennessee: Hyperbaric Oxygen & Stem Cell treatments which in combination have the potential to radically enhance her overall quality of life.
The treatments will require Sharon and Nancy to relocate from Brentwood, TN to Jackson, TN for 4-6 weeks and although these treatments are not currently covered by insurance, the blessings of this opportunity and the potential for independence that will increase her quality of life make the cost of the treatments and associated living expenses more than worthwhile.
