Hi, my name is Tom Louws and I’ve started this fundraising page for those of you who are friends and family of Ken and Sharon Rancie. With the passing of Sharon last Friday evening at 6 pm Ken and Sammy are facing an uphill battle to be able to stay in their rented apartment and pay for funeral expenses , hospital bills and getting on top of things after Sharon’s 8 month battle with being in hospital.

it’s extremely difficult to describe what the last eight months have been like for this wonderful family but to see Sharon suffering with all of the chronic health problems that developed later in her life has been extremely traumatic. Ken has never been one to ever ask for a handout or assistance and he is extremely appreciative of anyone that would like to help out now. Many of you knew Sharon very well and in lieu of any flowers or gifts at the funeral we would appreciate a donation as much as you feel you can at this troubling time.

This particular request will not address the long-term issues that will no doubt become apparent as Ken becomes a single father and Carer for his family and especially Sammy his beautiful loving down syndrome boy.

I wonder how each one of us would go if we were put in the same position that Sharon‘s passing has placed on this wonderful family.

I have never done a go fund me page previously but I hope that this request travels far and wide to all of their friends and that for those of you who can to share this message with your friends and help out wherever you can.
