Sharon Osterlund - Help with Expenses

Our beloved Sharon Osterlund, or Mrs. O as so many of us call her, unexpectedly passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, December 8, 2022.

Mrs. O dedicated herself to the Archdiocese of SF for 25 years and was beloved by our St. John School community. She was our librarian, resource teacher, and, most recently, our school secretary before she retired in 2021. While at St. John her loving and caring soul touched the lives of so many children, as she cared for them as if they were her own.

Sharon’s greatest loves were her husband, Gordon and her son, Cheyenne. She was an incredible wife and mother, caring for her husband while he was ill even though she was working full time and during periods of treatment for her own illnesses. Their son Cheyenne was instrumental in caring for both his parents and stayed home with them to help.

After Sharon’s beloved Gordon passed away on August 6, 2021, Sharon had to deal with her grief, ensuring Cheyenne was okay, and her chronic pain – all while trying to handle her bills after the loss of Gordon’s income. She spent all of their savings while waiting for her disability and pension to kick in. Yet, Sharon still kept a smile on her face and kept her financial stress to herself.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help with the costs of Sharon’s memorial and outstanding bills and to help ensure Cheyenne is able to stay financially in the home he grew up in while he grieves.

While our hearts will forever miss Sharon, your help in ensuring Cheyenne has some stability while he grieves the 2nd loss of a parent, both of who were his best friends, would be greatly appreciated. Sharon was generous in life, and it’s our turn to return her generosity towards her only son, Cheyenne.
