Hi, my name is Lonnie and I'm fundraising for John and Grady Corr, who lost their wife and mother to cancer on September 1, 2023.

Here are John's words announcing her passing:

"This is Sharon Morey's husband, John Corr. Sharon wanted me to post about her passing away. After fighting for 2 years of fighting the good fight, Sharon passed away tonight at 0210am. Grady and I were with her, holding her hands and telling her how much we love her. All the fur babies were around the bed. She was comfortable thanks to the wonderful hospice staff.

Sharon fought very hard and endured much pain during her treatments and still tried to help others while she was sick.

I will update on her Facebook page about the funeral service later, right now I'm not in a state of mind to go over that.

As you probably know, cancer treatments are expensive and can take a toll on a family's finances. Even as a healthcare professional, John received no assistance and took family leave to spend time caring for Sharon at home for several months. Unfortunately, that meant taking from his retirement account.

John has recently returned to work as a night Nurse which is now challenging for a single parent caring for a neurodivergent son. But medical bills still need to be paid, credit card debt piled up, and Grady will need care into his adult years. I'm hoping to raise enough money to give John a clean slate and build a trust for Grady.

John and I have been best friends since we've been teenagers, and in all that time, John has ALWAYS been a person who helps those in need. But he never asks for help himself. Even now I had to convince him to let me ask for assistance on his behalf. I hope you can help - even the smallest amounts can add up.
