Sharon Lynch 10k in memory of Joey

In May 2022 our beautiful twin boys Joey and AJ were born prematurely at 27 weeks gestation. Tragically, we lost Joey just hours after he entered this world, while AJ faced a tough battle in the NICU- (6 weeks in cork NICU followed by 8 weeks in Waterford NICU). During those difficult weeks, we were blessed with support from many, especially Brú Columbanus, which provided us a place to stay close to AJ in Cork.

Brú Columbanus provides free accommodation to families of seriously ill patients in Cork University Hospital. This charity offers families the invaluable gift of time, allowing them to be near their loved ones in critical moments.

I'm going to run the 10k in the Waterford Viking Marathon on the Sunday the 22nd June in memory of our beautiful angel baby Joey.
