Dear friends, family and loved ones,

Many of you have been touched by Sharon Kite’s insight, love, and kindness. Right now, she is fighting for her life. Her liver has failed her, and she has been on the transplant list for quite a while. In the last few weeks, her health became critical, and she was moved up to the top of the transplant list. On April 17th, she was called to Denver to receive a new liver. However, when the liver was tested for viability, it was not good and surgery was canceled. One week later, Sharon was diagnosed with failing kidneys, with multiple infections, and is no longer eligible for a new liver. We hoping for a turnaround in her status so she can be reinstated on the transplant list. Monday, April 24th, Sharon was intubated and flown to Denver where her transplant surgeon is doing everything possible to save her. Intubation has left her with a new infection in her lungs on top of everything else.

So far, her treatments have been very expensive, and since she has retired, good insurance coverage is no longer there. Medical costs are rising and now there are added costs for Tim to be in Denver with his wife. No one likes to ask for help, however, to ensure we can continue to afford Sharon’s care, we need you all.

First and foremost, if you pray, please include Sharon and the family in those prayers. Sharon is still young and has much more life to live, and selfishly, this family needs her for many more years.
