Stella Ziber a single mother, passed away suddenly on 2/15/11 leaving her daughter at the young age of 11. Sharon was the apple of Stella's eye. Stella always dreamed of seeing Sharon succeed in College. Sharon was an excellent student from a young age. Sharon has worked diligently to make her mothers dreams a reality. Sharon has faced and overcome many obstacles along the way and lives daily with the void of not having her mother by her side.
We, Stellas friends, cant fill the void! But we can help her overcome her financial obstacle of funding her college education.
This fundraising campaign is intended to provide an extraordinary young girl with funds to support necessary expenses that are not covered by student loans, grants and scholarships she has been awarded by Binghamton University.
Sharon's Mother Stella Zilber, passed away unexpectedly and tragically when Sharon was just 11 years old, and today marks 7 years since her death.
Stella, was a single, immigrant mother at the time of her passing, Sharon was her everything. Stella was committed to making sure that Sharon valued education and hard work. Stella would be proud to know that even though their time together was short, Sharon is trying her best to make her mothers dreams a realty.
Sharon is a studious, conscientious young girl whose interests have always included mathematics and law. Her dream since she was in tenth grade was to major in accounting in Binghamton's School of Business and then pursue a career as a tax attorney. With that vision, Sharon worked throughout most of her high school years, while being an active participant in student government and the National Honors Society. She maintained a high GPA of 3.8 and got accepted into all the schools she applied to, with Binghamton being her top choice.
However, Binghamton's high tuition made it impossible for Sharon to make her mothers dreams a reality. Sharon has exhausted all her savings, grants, scholarships and student loans and still falls short!
Please consider donating, you would help a young girls dreams of an education come true and a dying mothers last wish. No amount is too small! Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated.
Angela Gorodischer is the beneficiary of all monies collected and will help Sharon in managing all finances.
