On August 23rd, 2019 our beautiful friend Sharon Hehr was transported via ambulance to hospital to begin a fight no one was prepared for. Sharon was very ill upon arrival and in septic shock. While having a fever of 42 C and vitals not looking very good  she defied the odds and the emergency staff got her a little more stabilized. Although they saved her life in emergency she was still in critical condition and they moved her to the Critical care unit in the early morning hours. Since then Sharon has remained in ICU and is in a coma at I write this. She cannot breath on her own. The staff are working around the clock and doing everything they can to help Sharon fight this. This  has been a very difficult time for her children  and as time progresses we have come to realize that while Sharon fights this fight, we need to help her and her girls. Sharon is a single mom that runs a dayhome in Cochrane and touched many hearts in our community. Unfortunately, as September is upon us the dayhome children she regularly looks after are in need of finding alternate care for September (and likely October/ November or longer ) This means that Sharon will likely have no income for at least a few months. Clothing for school, food, house utilities and mortgage etc.  are needed to ensure her children can manage and not lose even more while they try to cope with there moms prognosis.  Her dad Larry Barkey and his wife Glory have been stepping up and trying to cover what is and will be needed financially, when they should be getting closer to retirement! So as you can imagine at a time that is already stressful this is enormous pressure! Larry will be assigned all authority to take funds as need to help offset what he has been paying so far. While we continue to pray that Sharon can fight this, Please HELP us HELP her and her girls.  If Sharon defies the odds and heals faster then anticipated any leftover proceeds will then be donated to another go fund me family or organization in Cochrane of Sharons choosing.
