As some of you may know, Sharon Gomez, the secretary, organizer and all around "mother hen" of the Western and Midwestern Orthotics and Prosthetics Association (WAMOPA) lost her home to the devastating fire in the small Northern California town of Paradise. Sharon and her husband Sal as well as her son, daughter-in law and their children barely escaped with their lives.  They are safe and sound living in Chico with a co-worker of her son. They basically have the clothes on their backs, and as Sharon was quoted, the WAMOPA meeting laptop.

Sharon has been devoted to all of us for many years and the annual meeting she organizes is a highlight for her. Please help showed her our appreciation when she is truly in a time of need.
