Sharlene is a 16 year old girl with the most incredible amount of drive to survive. Born with a heart defect, she has overcome more obstacles than one could ever imagine in just her short life already.
Unfortunately over the course of the past few months, Sharleen's health has begun to deteriorate and this week she was admitted into a government hospital here in Kenya with stage 3 heart failure.
Both of Sharleen's parents are incredibly hard working and continue to work every hour that god sends to ensure they are able to give their children the best in life. However as we all know this is sometimes more difficult for some than for others.
Our aim is to be able to help her to receive the best medical care available so that the time she has can be spent in the best possible health and even more so surrounded by a family that love her without them incurring a financial burden due to medical bills.
The Kenyan medical system is heartbreaking at the best of times and many are not able to afford the private care that they deserve. We appreciate any help no matter how small that you may be able to give, so that Sharlene can be comfortable and well-looked after.
For those that are in Kenya and would like to make a donation towards Sharlene’s care the number that can be used for MPESA is +254 722 503 185.
