Anclote Marching Sharks Trailer

My name is Don. I am a parent of two students in the Anclote High School Marching Band. I have been volunteering the last two years by helping to move equipment and instruments for the band to away football games and band competitions.

This is a newer program. The high school was established in August 2009, however this will only be the band's 6th season. The program has been growing each year since it was started and the needs of the band are also growing.

Students and parents work to raise funds to run the program. It is just enough to make ends meet. I decided to try to help the program by appealing to you. I have witnessed how the program must spend their funds on renting vehicles to move equipment. This is a necessary but wasteful way to spend the money. The cost of renting the vehicles prevents them from being able to save enough money to purchase their own trailer. It is a catch 22. I want to raise enough money for them to purchase their own trailer.

The season starts in a month so the goal is to have the funds in about that amount of time.

This program is filled with great students. I want them to be able to use this trailer for years to come... long after I am gone. It will be there for future students and the money they save in rentals can be put back into the program.
