All Ford hourly employees who are Legacy or In-Progression are eligible to participate in the UAW-Ford Profit Sharing Plan. Congratulations and thank you UAW! Unfortunately, the 2019 agreement leaves about 3 dozen hourly LAP employees out of Profit Sharing entirely, employees who were and are still classified as TFT -- even though these employees worked right alongside us building vehicles.
I'm Mike Parker, the Skilled Trades Chairman for UAW Region 8 and an LAP employee who works in the forklift repair shop. We can work to change this inequity and make it better for future workers via collective bargaining this fall...but for this year, right now, let's all chip in and share our Profit Sharing reward with those TFT's.
All monies collected (minus the GoFundMe fees) will be split among all TFT's named on the January 2023 seniority list who are still here working as of our disbursement date. Payout amounts will be based on weeks worked in 2022, and paid out approximately 10 days after the Profit Share payout.
IF WE HIT OUR GOAL OF $65,000 AND STILL HAVE 35 TFT'S AT PAYOUT TIME, EACH ONE WILL RECEIVE BETWEEN $1,250 AND $2,500 BASED ON WEEKS WORKED IN 2022.
