Sharifi's Fire Fund

I met Sharifi through an organization that helps Iraqi and Afghan interpretters who served with the United States military in Iraq and Afghanistan and are now in the United States through the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) Program.

Mr Sharifi is a former combat interpretter who served with the U.S. military in Afghanistan for 12 years. He resettled to Northglenn with his wife and 4 children. A couple of days ago, his wife accidentally started a kitchen fire while cooking. After being issued a 3 day eviction notice from his apartment complex, FOX31 Problem Solvers were contacted on Mr. Sharifi's behalf. After FOX31 made contact with the apartment complex, they decided to put Mr. Sharifi and his family in a new apartment rather than evicting them.

Unfortunately, Mr. Sharifi's family lost many of their belongings and now have to pay a $10,000.00 deductible for the fire damage.

I am starting this page on behalf of Mr. Sharifi as a veteran of the U.S. Army that is very appreciative of his service to our country. Mr. Sharifi served in combat with U.S. Armed Forces and I believe he, and other combat interpretters who have come to the United States, deserve the full support and appreciation of the American people.
