Hi, we're Sharice and Athena! We are two trans femmes in Chicago who've been doing our best to stay strong and make ends meet while I look for work and wait for my benefits to restart. The recent political mess has paused our food assistance (SNAP), leaving us in a difficult spot.

Right now, we’re trying to cover basic essentials such as food, transit, and bills while I continue applying for jobs and getting set up with a savings account. We’ve been stretching every dollar we have, but we’re now at a point where we could really use a hand just to get through this gap.
