Over the Holiday Break our beloved community member Shari Colquhoun was faced with a horrible health scare that landed her in the ICU at Hamilton General Hospital. Shari's doctors deduced that she was suffering from an Aortic Dissection. Shari stayed in the ICU until Friday January 12th and is now still recovering in the hospital.
As a biological mother of 2 and an acting mother to so many more students at Ross Public, it is time for us to step up and support her and her family in any way possible. As a lunchroom monitor and EA at Ross Public, Shari never stops at just "doing what's expected". She consistently goes above and beyond to make sure all our students feel safe, confident and welcomed everyday.
We are starting this Go Fund me page to help Shari with the incurring expenses that will come once she is released from the hospital. When she returns home she will need to purchase two separate machines. One to monitor her blood pressure and one to monitor the thickness of her blood. Returning home will also mean a huge change to Shari's and her families lifestyle which will have to be adjusted to include ongoing treatments and hospital visits.
If you have any other ideas on how we can support this amazing family that has done so much for our community, please do not hesitate to reach out! Shari would do anything for any of us or any student at Ross. Let’s get together and show her how much she means to us.
Please remember, any donations will help!
