Shauna Autry was many different things to many different people. A photographer, a friend, a sister, a daughter, a mother, and a wife. She dared to live life in a way that seems impossible to most, with courage, joy, happiness, bravery, love and light. Her infectious smile and indomitable spirit amazed and inspired all of those around her. It was impossible to tell from looking at her, or to try and judge from her demeanor, but over the last few years Shauna was fighting with a cancer that would not relent. Heartbreakingly, the love and light that was Shauna left this world in the early morning of January 27th, 2020.
Shauna loved all, and all loved Shauna. The outpouring of support from friends and family both near and far has truly been wonderful and amazing. Due to numerous inquiries into how best they can offer support or help, from those whom the marvelous spirit that was Shauna has reached over the course of her life, we have, along with the help of some amazing friends, sought to set up something emblematic of what Shauna would want.
Shauna loved her two children, Thomas Wesley and William Hollis, more than anything else in this world, and wanted nothing more than to see them grow and bear witness to the remarkable people they currently are, and will continue to be as they grow. She wanted every opportunity to be available to them, so that they could develop and grow in whichever direction their passions would lead them. As a way for those to honor and remember Shauna, we could think of no better tribute to her than to assist in securing the future for the two children she now leaves behind.
A 529 account has been created for each child, which is a savings account specifically tailored for educational expenses. Their father, TC Autry, is the manager of the accounts, but each child is the sole beneficiary. If you are looking for a way to support Shauna’s family, or would like a way to honor her memory, we ask that you consider gifting a donation to these college savings accounts, and help us secure the future of these two boys that she loved so much.
