We have created this page in acknowledgment of Davide and Larna's contribution to Ross & Midlands communities and how they have touched the lives of so many of us.

This fund is for those who wish to show their appreciation or support Davide and Larna due to their drastically altered circumstances.

Larna has been overwhelmed by the number of messages asking what help they need.... so to alleviate some of that pressure we have set up "Go fund me" paying it forward for all the personal support the Pittiglio's have previously provided to us.

Nikki Phillips & Louisa Street

"As many of you may now be aware, Davide has recently been diagnosed with Brain Cancer.  Around 6 weeks ago, as we were packing the car to do a catering event in Oatlands, he had a turn that was similar to a stroke. He traveled by ambulance to Launceston hospital. Several scans and an MRI revealed that he did not have any blood clots that would cause stroke-like symptoms, however he did have a mass in his brain that required further exploration. 

He was transferred to Hobart, and diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme IDH Wildtype, a fast-growing, aggressive brain cancer.  He had brain surgery to remove the majority of the mass without further impeding on his motor skills. He now has limited use of his left side, which is challenging as he is left-handed. We have now embarked on a 6 week programme of radiation and chemo therapies. 

Our 6 children and some extended family members have been here at various stages over the last 6 weeks and they all plan to be back and forth to continue supporting us through this process. They have taken care of both of us through what has been a gruelling few weeks. We have shared both beautiful and devastating moments together... 

Many of you have reached out over this time, to ask how you can help. We have been blessed by community support with friends taking care of animals, dropping off firewood, feeding us, offering accommodation for family, driving us to treatments... 

We feel extremely blessed to be part of such a supportive community here in Ross and the broader Midlands region. We have received countless messages via social media, text and email, not all of which we have been able to reply to. It has simply been such a taxing time emotionally, that we have not had capacity to keep everyone up to date with progress.  We appreciate your understanding and we will do what we can to keep in touch. 

In regards to how you can help, we are simply taking it one day at a time and when a need arises we will be sure to reach out.  Many have asked if they can help financially and I simply have not had the headspace or energy for figuring out how to facilitate that, so Nikki and Lu have pulled this page together to help.  Davide and I were both working full-time in our own businesses and now neither of us have the capacity to do that. As time goes on this will create some financials pressures. We don't have any goal to reach... we simply want to open our minds and hearts to accepting assistance.

We are truly blessed to be surrounded by a strong, loving family and a caring, connected community. We want you to know we value each and every one of you, so, so much. We had no idea our hearts could feel so full and so broken all at once. Whilst this is a very personal journey, we want you to know we appreciate your good wishes, your thoughts, your prayers and your offers of support. 



Any funds donated will be used to support us in providing Davide with the best possible care, day to day quality of life and as much time as we can possibly have together.
