Shanon's Cancer Fight!

Donation protected

It's a very hard thing to have a loved one fighting cancer.  So many emotions and thoughts running through your mind...Shocked and Scared, never thinking this would ever happen to you or your loved one (my sister).  The only thing that keeps you going is Hope,..only to get knocked down by setbacks and complications...Hope some more....more setbacks..Hope that the treatment works and she can get back to a normal state of being.   I look at my sister and cannot imagine my life without her in this world.   As I try to remain hopeful, I  have come to the difficult situation of....Asking for Help ....  First ...let me tell you a little about Shanon's situation...
On December 22nd. 2016 ..Shanon came to the Emergency Room at Sanford Hospital, where I work, after having a Seizure at her worksite.  She works for H.I.T. Incorporated.  After tests and workups she was quickly found to have a Brain Tumor (Gleoblastoma).   She has underwent 6 weeks of Radiation and Chemo since then.    She had a break from everything the month of March and was going to start Chemo again beginning of April.   Everything Seemed to be going as Expected...
On March 30th she was admitted to the Hospital again with several infections and very low blood counts.   Her Platelet count and White Blood Cell Count and Red Blood Cell counts were all VERY low.  The Doctors are not sure why or how long this Complication will last, but as long as she is having this problem she CANNOT treat the Cancer.  She has had to undergo Two Bone Marrow Biopsies and almost DAILY Blood Product Transfusions.  She also had developed multiple ulcers in her esophagus and mouth which are very painful and keeps her from eating anything but Cocoa Wheats and Yogurt for the past month.  She remains in the Hospital to this day, Saturday, April 15, with no discharge date as of yet.
Keep in mind, up until March 30th,  Shanon was still working Her Full Time Hours at H.I.T!   She showed Amazing Will to go to work each day in order to keep her job and benefits going.  It is getting very close to the end of her Family Medical Leave (May 10th) AND On May 16th her Medical Insurance will END as well.  After that Shanon will have NO income and NO medical insurance.
This money , through your gracious donations,  WILL  be paying for her COBRA Medical Insurance  ($600/month), Medical Bills (Prolonged Hospital stays and Multiple Tests/Procedures/Blood Transfusions,  CT Scans, MRI's, Therapy and who knows what else the future holds for trying to beat this.  I will keep everyone updated on the site.  Thank You from the Bottom of our Hearts...Family, Freinds, and everyone who would be willing to help out in this cause.
Sincerly,
Kim Wagner (Shanon's Sister)
