I am reaching out to you today to ask for your prayers, help, and support for my dear and precious lifelong friend Shanon Sloan who is facing significant medical challenges that have resulted in overwhelming medical expenses.

Shanon Sloan, 42 years old, is a beautiful person inside and outside. She does everything with her whole heart and strength. She is a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She has an angelic voice and spirit the Lord has given her. She has a heart of gold, is strong and courageous, and has a fierce faith and love for Jesus. She always focuses on positivity, despite hard times and faces life good and bad with humor and gentleness. She is a source of support and inspiration in many people's lives, and brings her light everywhere she goes. She loves with a heart of Christ. Shanon is loyal, vivacious, talented , and has a deep, old soul full of wisdom. She has gone through so much in life, but continues to persevere. To know, Shanon, is to love her.

However, due to her recent medical situation, she now needs our help.

Shanon was diagnosed with breast cancer in December of 2019. At this time she underwent breast surgery removal and started systemic chemo. Since that time, she has remained on intermittent chemotherapy with continued metastasis of her disease. A few days ago she was informed by her doctor that the cancer has continued to spread rapidly and is overwhelming her organs now affecting her bones, liver, and lungs. She has stage IV metastatic breast cancer. They are giving her one last trial of a new extremely strong chemotherapy regimen. If there is no response to this therapy within two months, then she will be put on hospice care with a limited life expectancy. We know God is the Great Physician and are praying for a miracle, as this is what she needs and desires the most. We ask for your prayers and support, as well, as this has been and continues to be a very difficult journey for her and her 10 year old daughter, Hannah, especially as a single mom with limited ability to work over the past six years and now is unable to work at all to adequately provide for her and her daughter. Her diagnosis has brought about numerous medical visits, treatments, and procedures. Unfortunately, the costs associated with Shanon’s treatment are far beyond what her insurance can cover.

I have set up this GoFundMe campaign to help try to alleviate some of the financial burden on Shanon and her daughter during this incredibly difficult time and to extend her story for unity and collective faith with agreement in prayer. Your generous donations will go directly towards covering medical bills, treatment costs, and her living expenses during her treatment for which she is unable to work.

My goal is to raise enough funds to ensure that Shanon can receive the care she needs without the added stress of financial strain. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to that goal.
