We have known Shannon since elementary school in Eureka, CA.  Recently, at our 40th high school reunion, Shannon shared her story of being diagnosed with a brain tumor.  She touched all of us with her courage and optimism. Since then, she has had surgery and soon will be undergoing chemo and radiation.  Several of us have decided to start this fund to help Shannon with expenses that insurance won't cover - some chemo treatments, travel expenses, co-pays and housing.  Although time and distance have separated Shannon and her friends from Eureka, those bonds formed are strong.  No amount is too small - whether it covers gas for the hour long trip to treatments, a meal, housing or medical expenses.  Shannon has an incredible positive spirit.  Let's help her channel that spirit to overcoming cancer and not toward worrying about medical expenses.
