Shannon's Medical Missions trip

My name is Shannon Bernal. I will be embarking on a medical missions trip to Oaxaca, Mexico with my church, The Church at Rocky Peak. It has been on my heart to do since becoming a nurse ten years ago, so it is an exciting time. I have a heavy heart for those that suffer with a lack of basic resources and virtually no medical care. The people of Oaxaca are such people and I look forward to reaching out to them both medically and with the love of Christ.
I am hoping that you can partner with me financially. Even if a small donation, anything is helpful. We will be setting up a clinic, providing medications to those that are ill and in need, conducting health education and preventative care and providing eyeglasses to villagers. Also, we will be paying for interpreters as the residents of the local villages speak only Mixtec, not Spanish. God is moving in these small villages as our church has been developing a relationship with the villages over the last few years allowing us to reach out to the residents there.
Even if you are unable to give financially to this mission, I would appreciate your prayers for safety, a smooth trip and for the Holy Spirit to move in the lives of the people of Oaxaca and surrounding villages.
Here is an overview of our trip:
Trip dates: Dec 2-11
Cost: need $1,650 raised by November 2
Purpose: Serve the communities in the San Martin area of Oaxaca, Mexico in order to introduce them to the love of Christ and to the Ministry of La Embajada, who shares the love of Christ year round in this area.
