Shannon's Journey: Health and Hope

Since my surgery in 2021 and cancer diagnosis, everything has changed. I gained 35lbs in less than 2 years after the surgery. My hair has gone from straight to wavy/curly. I have lymphedema, I get infections more often. My fatigue is unlike anything I've ever experienced before.. These are just pieces of the health issues I regularly face.

I've cut down on working from ft to pt. I often go days with .10 to my name while I wait for SSA to approve disability. I've seen at least 20 different doctors with no answers yet. Although, I have been aggressive in trying to help myself.

I'm coming from a string of bad luck - the Cancer, losing my house, homelessness, losing many in my support system, changing jobs. All the while, I have tried to do everything I can think of.

I've sold all of my belongings, I often go without, I work hard and as much as I am able to. I wrote a book - thinking, maybe it'd turn into something. Maybe it will. But, right now, I just wait.

I finally broke down and made an appointment with the Cleveland Clinic. It's not for 3 months though. Maybe, maybe I'll get actual answers.

Still, if I get a bankruptcy started - I can at least save some of my check from being garnished. If that happens, I can help myself and my family out more.

Please. My life has turned from - "I wish I was her, to, Thank God, I'm not her."

If by chance this takes off, I'll get a car. But, that's not even a remote possibility right now. I give back, I help anyway I can. I wouldn't ask if I had any other way to get by.

If you want to give me things to sell; dressers, shoes, purses, tools, etc, I will put the money to good use. If you can assist - it's appreciated. Honestly, even a share is appreciated.
