Shanon's Journey and Care
Donation protected
Shannon has been feeling unwell since October. Medical professionals indicated it was heart issues, for which he was to have an ablasion on March 15th.
On March 7th, Shannon was admitted to the hospital via the ER. A week and battery of tests later, he was diagnosed with terminal, stage 4 colon cancer that had metastasized to most major organs.
Shannon needs 24/7 care in his time left on Earth. While he has insurance, he has no money to cover the cost of a place to stay to manage his recovery. Shannon had 2 choices: live with someone or go to a care facility.
Due to the extensive care he needs, we have found a wonderful place to which Shannon agreed to go and the cost is reasonable but still, we have exhausted all financial resources, plus we still have funeral costs to think about.
He will be in a respite care unit, still close to family and friends. He can take personal items to decorate his room. He can have visitors one at a time. A schedule of visitation will be set so he has visitors daily. He is excited about this, but he is anxious about the financial aspect of care plus medical bills and other responsibilities.
To ease his mind, I am trying to help get him a comfortable and supportive place to go. If you can help Shannon financially, it is very much appreciated. If you cannot, but could offer prayer or a visit, we appreciate that as well.
Please spread the word (to everyone but Shannon!). Thank you and God bless!
