Shannon’s Journey
I absolutely never thought I would be typing this but recently someone extremely close to me & my family, Shannon Laney, was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. It’s been exceptionally painful given the rate in which her cancer has spread in just a few short days. Initially, what she thought was normal hip pain from the amount of exercise she does turned out to be something incredibly different. At this stage, it has spread throughout her body & has already caused fluid buildup in her lungs. Due to covid restrictions hospitalization and proper care has been difficult to obtain in a timely manner to address the severity of her diagnosis. Thankfully, Shannon has finally gotten into a facility where she is being treated for intense pain and increased fluid in her body/lungs. Currently her family is not allowed to be With her, and this includes her daughter Julianna who is finishing up the last few months of her senior year of high school. Shannon is a remarkable human, teacher, mother, avid pet loverand friend. I am gutted that this is happening to her and her family at a time in our world where resources are scarce due to this pandemic. As Her conditions continues to change rapidly & Expenses begin to build I ask you if you can at allhelp Shannon & her family on her road to what we are hoping will be a full recovery. This will Not be easy & every bit helps.
thank you & much love.
stay safe & please wear a mask so that folks whoare truly sick and need of resources like this will be able to get proper care.
