I’m updating this because in recent months Shannon has experienced further decline in her health but is still waiting for assistance both financially and medically. She has been diagnosed with Hemiplegic Migraine Syndrome which attacks the brain stem and causes her to lose the function of one whole side of her body. This strikes out of nowhere and she has to lay flat until it passes, which sometimes is a few days. This is in addition to the constant vertigo and nausea.

She truly needs help to pay rent and basic expenses. Anything you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much! Here is the original post, all of which is still happening as well. Her situation is truly horrible:

Many of you may not be aware of this but our wonderful friend Shannon has been struggling with debilitating health issues. She woke up a month ago unable to walk or focus due to extreme vertigo. At first it was thought to be an ear infection or possibly complications from MS.

After 9 days in the hospital she was sent to Swedish in Seattle for further testing. The good news is that the diagnosis of MS she received a few years ago was found to be incorrect. However she is still struggling with the symptoms, and it’s been discovered that she has vestibular migraines. This is not your average headache! She has missed an entire month of work, and is in need of funding to be able to pay rent, and bills, as well as a lot of medical expenses that weren’t covered.

The good news is that the new medication she has started should have her back in action soon. This has been a terrible time and scary setback. She is still unable to work as the vertigo hasn’t subsided yet. Constantly dizzy and nauseous for a month. Simply horrible. Please help out if you are able. Anything helps and is greatly appreciated.
