Shannon's Funeral Service

Donation protected
Hello my name is Brittany Burns. Shannon Songer has been my best friend since we were like 15 years old...she was more like the sister I never had, I've always treated her and considered her family. My children know her as Aunt Shannon. For those who knew her loved her she was an amazing person inside and out. She could light up a room like no other when she wasn't being bashful lol. Most could never tell that Shannon was sick when she was having a Chron's flare up, because she'd put on a smile for the world so no one knew. She had been through hell and back struggling with Chron's Disease for years now but she'd always bounce back and come out on top even when she was ready to give up hope. This past week she had gotten very sick and went to get checked out. Come to find out she had Covid really bad, her kidneys and liver weren't functioning good, she had blood around her heart, she had jaundice and her blood count was very very low. So all of that on top of her Chron's Disease wasn't good at all. As the days went on she began to get worse. We wanted to try to get her moved to Pittsburgh but the doctors all said her numbers were too low they couldn't do anything there were too many complications with her situation. Wednesday her mom was told by doctors to contact family because it wouldn't be long now she wasn't getting better. Friends and family had been visiting her when they could while she was in the hospital at Sharon Regional. Although she was unresponsive to those that came she could hear everyone. I was able to go see her Wednesday after her brother Brian called and told me it wouldn't be long now. I made it there and it broke my heart to see my best friend laying there dying. She had just turned 32 on Dec.1st. she had so much life to live yet. As I got to say goodbye I watched my best friend pass away today Wednesday December 15th at 3:13 pm. Now she's free from all the pain and suffering. And with how Covid has hit the economy her family doesn't have the means to cover the funeral service costs. Anything will help. If you can we are asking for any help to put towards her funeral services as soon as possible. If there is anything over the goal we set her family will use it for a headstone and if there's anything after that left they will donate it to a Chron's Disease Organization to help others. Please pass this on it is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
