Shannon’s daughter has leukemia and they need our help
Donation protected
This week Shannon and Chris’ daughter Georgia was diagnosed with leukemia.
AML is an aggressive cancer, and they anticipate a long, hard road ahead. Shannon and Georgia will essentially be living at SickKids for the next 5 or 6 months, where Georgia will undergo many rounds of chemotherapy. As you can imagine, their lives have been turned upside down.
Please do not repost this on Instagram as Georgia is sensitive and private, understandably.❤️
Shannon will have to leave her job for the foreseeable future to be with her daughter, losing a big chunk of income. But the bills will keep coming as they struggle to weather this unexpected storm. They will also need many supplies to navigate this rocky journey- supplies to outfit their home as well as for Georgia. I can’t imagine the stress. It’s our time to step up and help out this wonderful family.
Shannon is the best mother I know. She has always been my motherhood mentor- she’s so insightful and supportive of her children. Her love for her girls is cosmic. She is also an incredibly loyal and generous and joyful friend, as I’m sure you already know. Bridget is Georgia’s amazing older sister. And Chris, their dad, is the soft rock that completes this family.
Georgia is a ray of sunshine. She is now 17 years old, and she brightens every room she enters. She is a whip-smart, kind, creative, gentle, beautiful, and loving girl.
