In September 2017 Shannon was diagnosed with a brain tumor only a month after delivering her beautiful daughter, Lydia. She immediately had surgery to remove it but what the doctors found was an evasive mass, and they were unable to remove all of it. Shannon was told that it was a stage four tumor and that even with chemotherapy and radiation there was a 0% chance of survival and she had at most 12 months to live.
With that news Shannon decided not to even try but to enjoy whatever time she had left with Lydia and Josh. The doctor gave her information for hospice and sent them home.
Fast forward to three months later and the symptoms the doctor said would become more prevalent as the cancer progressed have started to show: headeaches, tiredness and memory problems being just the beginning. This pushed her to look harder for a solution instead of accepting her fate leading her to find a treatment center that will accept her and has given her hope.
Causenta Wellness in Arizona treats cancer by measuring biochemical details to discover the root cause of the cancer. They then personalize a treatment plan that will maximize Shannon's natural ability to fight cancer. They have a high success rate with gioblastoma, but we need your help so that Shannon can be given this opportunity. Just to reserve a spot in the center is a down payment of $8,000 and the first six weeks of treatment costs $38,000. Insurance does not cover any of this because it is an unconventional, state of the art program. If Shannon is able to get enough money to go through this in depth cancer treatment she will live close to the treatment center with Josh and Lydia so Josh will have to take an extended leave from work since their home is in Utah. Your donation will go directly towards paying for the treatment and any extra money will go towards their living arrangments in Arizona along with bills and living expenses while they are there.
We realize that many of you have already been so generous and given money towards Shannon's last surgery and we are so grateful for that. We don't want you to feel obligated to give again but please share this with all your family and friends or post to your facebook page so we can get the word out.
This will give Shannon a chance to do this treatment and a chance to see her baby girl grow up.
Thank you for playing your part in helping Shannon beat cancer.
