Dear family and friends, it is with deep sadness that we inform every one of  the sudden passing of Shannon (McCarthy) Adar on March 22nd following a stroke.  We are putting together a memorial fund in order to provide financial support to her family. Shannon lived many years with epilepsy, and bravely underwent multiple procedures related to her ailments. She also wanted to help others battling this disease and supported the Epilepsy Foundation, spoke to patients regarding her condition and how she was managing and coping with the disease.

She leaves behind two wonderful and loving teenagers, Cynthia 18, who will be attending Lesley College this Fall, and Kyle 16, who is a great student and squash player, and her beloved husband Marco with whom she recently celebrated 20 years of marriage. This page has been put together in order to support Shannon's family through their difficult transition. Because of her ailments her family is left with the burden of medical expenses, and limited resources to cover funeral costs, and to aid their transition. Our family appreciates any donations made.
