Shannon D'Acquisto, a 13 year breast cancer survivor, has had a detour in her journey.   On March 18th Shannon experienced a seizure and it turns out that she has metastatic breast cancer that has spread to her brain.  She had a large tumor removed from the frontal lobe of her brain.  The good news is that the surgeon was able to resect the whole tumor and get clear margins during surgery. Shannon also has several small tumors in her skull that her doctors hope to treat with medication.  The prognosis is good and her doctors feel she will beat this disease again. Shannon is STRONG and she is a FIGHTER, but she has a long road ahead...again. Not only is she healing from brain surgery,  but she fractured her back as a result of the fall during her seizure. Shannon will be moved from the hospital to a rehabilitation facility to rebuild strength in her right side.  She does not currently have use of her right arm or leg. Her medical team feels this going to be a temporary seatback. Due to this detour in life, Shannon and her husband, Josh, could use some extra help from their family and friends. The funds raised through this GoFundMe will go towards medical expenses and household bills.
