We have a friend in need!!!! Will you help save a life?
Shannon Smith (formerly Agro) raised her two children primarily as a single mom, home schooled them and coached them all while working multiple jobs and going to school herself, to earn her B.S.B.A, so she could better support her children.
Shannon simultaneously coached Ashley AND Bryans sports teams year round and has coached many of our kids in the process. She has loved on them, followed their lives through elementary, middle and high school and some even through college.
Many of you may know of the health struggles she has faced in the past 10+ years, which have rendered her unable to work because of frequent illnesses. Well now SHE needs us to "love on her". She has been diagnosed with stage 3c/4 breast cancer. Shannon is a fighter but even a fighter needs help sometimes.
Her vehicle was involved in an accident (someone else was driving and was at fault) and her liability insurance doesn't cover the repairs. She needs this (or SOME reliable) vehicle to get to her many appointments and chemo treatments, which she will continue for at least a year and will be followed by radiation and more surgery. Can we pull together for this woman of God that needs the help of the community that she put so much time, effort and, most of all, LOVE for us and our children into? I'm requesting an amount that will repair her vehicle (which will be around $4,500) AND at least $5,500 to help her with her meet her co pays, many expenses and pay for medications that insurance won't. One in particular costs $6,500 (with every treatment, every 3 weeks)and is imperative to help keep her out of the hospital as much as possible.
Shannon has been so generous with her time, knowledge and love over the years to family, friends and even strangers in need and, if you're reading this, you and/or your children have likely benefitted in some way from those attributes. Please be as thoughtful and generous as you can. Every dollar will be greatly appreciated.
Finally, will you please "share" this so others who care may be able to help, too. You probably know many people who are caring friends of hers that I don't, so they won't see this plea without your shares.
This is a serious situation with which Shannon seriously needs our help. Without us, she won't have enough in her arsenal to win this war. It's just that simple.
