Hello everyone, my name is Gianna Shriver. My mom's name is Shannon Shriver, or maybe you knew her as Shannon Cortrite, or Shi, or even just the funny lady you met in line at the grocery store.

My mother had many illnesses that left her immunocompromised. She caught the flu a few days ago which really took her down and made it too difficult for her to breathe. She passed away in her sleep, at home, surrounded by love.

Her death does not define her whatsoever though. Her son, Noah Shriver wrote it best,

"..the woman who supported me no matter what, the woman who had nothing but love to give to anyone who needed it. The woman who taught me what it means to be a good human. She's the epitome of the word motherly. Anyone who walked into the house was immediately treated like family. She's the kindest, sweetest, most caring woman I've ever known. Even up until she suddenly left us she would still make me a pb &j sandwich for work every single morning."

She is kindness, she is warmth, and she is love.

We wanted to create this page as a solid place for everyone to come together and remember that warmth. Her family was her whole world, and with that, we need some help. My mom deserves the greatest celebration ever, and we want to give it to her. Between honoring her the way she deserves and all of the unexpected costs that come with the situation, things are pretty tight. Anything helps, even a donation to a good cause in her honor or just your love and support.
