Shannon Shea's Battle Against Stage 4 TNBC

Please help us support Shannon, Dana, and baby Luke as they navigate the unthinkable.
Shannon was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer just four months after giving birth to their son. Her friends and family are rallying to make sure this young family has the time, resources, and peace of mind they need to focus on healing—without the burden of financial stress.
Easter Sunday 2024 was the happiest day of our lives! Dana and his caring wife, Shannon, welcomed their son, Luke Christopher Shea, into the world for the first time.
That summer, they visited family in Maine and New Hampshire and even squeezed in a camping trip while Shannon was on maternity leave. Life was falling into place for their young family—just the three of them and their loyal dogs, Riley and Theo, who go everywhere with them and the cutest cat you’ve ever seen, Dolly!
Four months later, life took a different path.
Shannon was diagnosed with Stage 4 Triple Negative Breast Cancer, a more aggressive and less easily treatable type of breast cancer.
No one is ever prepared for news like this—especially not when you’re raising a newborn. Shannon has faced this fight with fierce grace and quiet strength through more challenges than anyone should bear.
Shannon has always embodied strength—from leading the Chelmsford Lions as cheer captain to earning her degree in Environmental Science and Meteorology at Plymouth State. She now works at the EPA—her dream job! She’s an outdoorswoman, a woman of faith, a healthy-living advocate and the most selfless person you’ll ever meet.
Dana and Shannon have kept this private until now, but the road ahead is long and it’s time for family, friends, and our community to come together in support.
Joe here, Dana’s brother, we both work for Impact Fire Services, and I’ve witnessed firsthand the outpouring of love and support for him and Shannon. They have always been there for our family even when it's not asked of them, just out of the kindness of their hearts—thank you all.
I’m helping lead this GoFundMe effort on behalf of our entire family because sometimes the strongest thing you can do is know how and when to ask for help.
Shannon is fighting every day for more time with Dana and baby Luke. While the road ahead is uncertain, your support can help lift the heavy burden of bills and bring hope to this young, beautiful family.
Our goal is to raise $60,000 to help cover medical bills, treatment-related travel, lost income during Shannon’s care, everyday expenses and stability for baby Luke.
Dana has done everything he can to stretch what they have, but no family can walk this road alone. Your support—whether financial, emotional, or spiritual—means more than we could ever express.
Out of respect for Shannon and Luke, please DO NOT share this on public social media. We kindly ask that you pass this along ONLY through personal messages or direct connections.
To Impact Fire: Thank you! You’ve reminded us that real strength lives in community and when we unite together.
With love and gratitude,
Joe and Dana Shea
