Shannon Philp Pro Boxing Debut

Donation protected
My name is Shannon Rose. I’m 25 years old and recently moved to Coffs Harbour NSW. Before moving here I’d trained to the point where I was close to having my first boxing match as an amateur. But as things happen, resettling here and finding steady work took priority so I drifted back to my second love in recreational body building. Then a few weeks ago my partner/coach was approached my a Melbourne promoter asking if I’d consider turning pro on short notice, to help them match a girl I’d previously sparred (Alana Moussa) who was ready to fight for the middleweight state title. This is a huge challenge to not only step up for my first fight but to do it on a professional level is not something I ever imagined doing, but it’s a huge opportunity to kick start my boxing career and make a name for myself on the national boxing scene. I’m currently working two part time jobs and train twice a day. We spar girls from other local gyms and travel to Port Macquarie and the Gold Coast for training also. It’s a huge commitment with no downtime given that the fight is at the start of May. I’m not usually one to ask for much help, but given the seriousness of this opportunity I’m hoping a few people might lend a small hand in helping me afford the few things that go into an event like this. Fight kit (skorts/crop/robe) and travel expenses between getting to the event but also the trips up the coast. I understand most people will say that it’s my choice so it’s on me, which I respect. But my aim is to end up with a few genuine sponsors once I prove my worth on the scene. And I just figured I’d reach out for local support in the meantime. Anything you could offer would be greatly appreciated. And any business owners who’d like a shout out along the way - please mention who you’re donating on behalf of. Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. And here’s hoping I can give Alana a run for her money and possibly even have another bout up this way later in the year. Thank you in advance no matter what your position is. And let’s go women’s boxing !!
