Fundraiser to help Shannon Otto. A Nashville, TN nurse who had her nursing license suspended after falling behind on her student loan payments.
A New York Times investigation (The Daily - Podcast 12/15/2017) found that some creditors are taking extreme measures to get paid. In many cases, those measures are costing people the jobs they need to pay back the loans they took out to get those jobs in the first place.
This is a ‘go fund me’ to help Shannon and get her student debt of $2600 cleared. The payment will hopefully enable Shannon to get back her nursing license.
NY Times - The Daily Article
My name is Matt and I started this campaign after listening to the Daily episode and googling a way to dontate money to Shannon. After not finding a way I decided to create a quick Gofundme page.
I have recently been in contact with Shannon Otto and the NY Times reporter - Jessica Silver-Greenberg and am looking forward to getting the funds sent to Shannon.
Shannon has the link to this page so please leave a comment for her to read.
Thanks for the amazing support everyone!
