Sean Thomas Kelner, 27, of Austin, passed away on June 9th, 2021 in Austin, Texas. Sean was born January 7th, 1994 in Austin to Thomas Linn Kelner and Margaret Laramee Kelner. He is a graduate of San Juan Diego Catholic High School. He is the proud father of Shannon Elizabeth Kelner, who he adored with all his heart and soul.

He joins Shannon’s mother Avery Zamora with our Heavenly Father in the Hereafter where peace and love abound. Sean had a beautiful smile, and an even more beautiful heart. He was a Capricorn of Irish descent, with blue eyes and red-blonde hair that seemed to redden as he aged. He had a wonderful sense of humor, determination to better himself, and was a sensitive, kind-hearted, loyal friend willing to lend a hand to those who needed him.

He was fiercely protective of those he loved. He was athletic, having played soccer, baseball, basketball and tennis throughout his youth. He had a recent affinity for volleyball, and he would laughingly dominate in backyard volleyball games with his beloved older brother Casey and his niece and nephews whom he cherished. He voraciously sought out any new knowledge on a wide range of worldly topics, for his own edification.

He delighted in music, comedy, and film. He quoted his favorite movies and comedians to make his siblings laugh, and it was a shared style of communication – a home base of sorts – for the three siblings throughout life’s challenges. True to his Texan upbringing, he loved being in nature, good Tex-Mex, and being by the ocean. He dreamt of traveling and experiencing different cultures.

He is preceded in death by his sister Shannon Linn, his cousin Meghan, his paternal grandmother Evelyn, his great-grandparents Jack and Margaret Johnson, who embrace him in eternal love and warmth, and welcome his spirit into his forever Home. He is survived by his daughter Shannon, his mother and father Peggy (Ned) and Tom (Sharon), his grandparents, his brother Casey (Merissa), his sister Lauren (Eric), nephew Dominic, nephew Brayden, nieces Bailey and Lylah, the Zamora family, and many other beloved family members and friends. He built special relationships with other members of the sober community. He will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and loved beyond measure. His spirit will live on in the ever-present now.
