We got the news that no family likes to get, my dad has cancer. Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (Inversion 16) (AML) It’s rare so there is not a lot of research on it unfortunately, he has been doing hospital stays at West Penn in Pittsburgh getting chemotherapy. He has already had a tumor taken out of his spine in August. Which he has an amazing team at West Penn and we are so thankful! They found a match in ENGLAND, but luckily his brother Dean is a match n they can do a Stem Cell Transplant. He will be very sick during all of this, & it will be a month hospital stay. Plus with COVID now it is very scary we don’t want him getting sicker than he already is. My dad is so use to working staying busy and now he can barely see anyone or go anywhere. He is not able to work so he is taking a financial hit. He’s a WONDERFUL person that will help anyone n give the shirt off his back. He has such a big heart. My dad is always there when you need him, n can make you laugh till your stomach hurts! This is such a big change on the family and especially right now with everything going on in the world! CHRISTMAS is also right around the corner but we will not be able to spend time with family due to COVID and CANCER. We are just trying to stay positive, pray, and hope for the best. All we really want is for people to just say a prayer and we will be forever grateful!! ❤️ And if you can donate during these hard times that would be appreciated!!
Happy holidays, stay safe ❤️
STAY STRONG SHANNON ❤️❤️
