Hello everyone!

I'm Cristen, a friend and co-worker of Shannon. I'm hoping to raise funds to help Shannon and her family during this tough time.

First, I want to tell you a bit about Shannon. Shannon has been a PSW for 20 years, and I've had the pleasure of working with her for 12 of them. Everyday she comes to work with a smile on her face and is ready to care for her 32 residents. Co-workers describe Shannon as hard working, patient, hilarious and just an overall awesome human being. Outside of work, Shannon is an amazing mom to her 8 beautiful children and wife to her husband Todd.

This past Friday, tragedy struck her family. Her husband had a massive heart attack. Thankfully, Shannon was there and quickly started CPR while waiting for paramedics to arrive. Once they arrived, they were able to revive him and he was sent to Hamilton for surgery. It took a total of 15 minutes to resuscitate Todd, and scans done by the hospital currently show no brain activity. Shannon is left to care for her husband and their children on her own.

I've created this gofundme because Shannon is the type that will never ask for help, but is always the first one to offer it to others in need. I'm asking anyone, if you can please spare anything to help Shannon and her family during this time, it would be so greatly appreciated. Money raised would help Shannon with her monthly bills, groceries, and transportation to and from Hamilton. I hope to raise enough to at least take care of a couple months for her.
