Help Shannon During Her Battle With Cancer

hi there, im Lexi, Shannon's oldest daughter. I made this GoFundMe to help my mom and step dad Scott work through the financial burden this is causing our family.

On January 13th, 2025 my mom went into the ER for severe abdominal pain. It was that night that she found out she had multiple tumors on her ovaries. From there they told her to follow up with a specialist and we would finally get more answers. January 17th my mom was admitted into the hospital for more testing while there she ended up contracting the flu and ended up in the ICU on a ventilator for 6 days. Once she made it through that, more testing has revealed cancer that originated in the colon and has metastasized to the ovaries.

My mom has now been in the hospital for 3 weeks unable to work. The state of Nevada does not have disability. My step dad's hours have been cut due to having to care for my 2 youngest siblings who are only 6 and 13.

With my moms long road of testing, surgeries and other medical issues that may arise, I am asking for help with the financial aspect so she can concentrate on her recovery and appointments and not worry about the bills coming up. This money will also help pay the copays and deductibles that she needs to pay for all the specialists and doctors she has to see.
