Shannon Brady McCall's Bench Memorial

On July 7th we lost an amazing woman, Shannon Brady McCall. She was a daughter, a mother, a sister and a friend- someone to exchange stories with, get guidance from and share laughter with. She leaves behind two beautiful boys. Shannon's body now rests in Seattle, WA . We wanted to create an opportunity for friends and family here in San Diego to have a place where Shannon could be memorialized - a place where we know Shannon would love and a place of peace and serenity.

Sarah Stone and Tim Minjares have been working with Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation located in Carlsbad, CA to secure a bench and plaque in memory of our friend Shannon. The Foundation was out of available benches when we first contacted them a few weeks ago....but just the other day we received GREAT NEWS - a bench became available AND it is located on a BEAUTIFUL part of the Batiquitos trail that overlooks the Lagoon.

The bench and plaque memorial requires a membership to Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation that requires a renewal every 5 years. We are looking to pay for 25 years in advance so Shannon's Memorial bench is around for all to have a place to go for many years to come. We are looking to have all the funds to the Foundation by the first part of September 2021. Any funds collected over the amount will go to her two boys - Max and Jackson.

We are looking to have a dedication ceremony sometime in September and are reaching out Shannon's community to help fundraise for the expense of the bench, the plaque and a 25 year membership. Regardless of your contribution, we would like to extend an invitation to you to the dedication ceremony - more information on the date and time at a later date.
