2/20/21- Tina and Shannah are flying to Memphis TN on Monday morning - which is Tina’s birthday.  Shannah will start her treatment at St. Judes.  We are all praying for a safe trip and awesome outcome for Shannah.  Of course this will come with expenses so any amount does help.  Thank you for all those who have been so supportive.  Keep passing along the message to keep Shannah going and achieving her goals.  We love you. Safe travels and remember we are here for you all.  E

Update tonight on Shannah.  She’s doing well after her 2nd surgery.  Making progress and working on a plan with her oncology team!  Tina and Jon thank you all for the countless support, cards, calls, texts, amazing donations and all the prayers.  Please continue to share Shannah’s story as there is a long road ahead.  Thank you and God bless!

Our sweet Shannah, age 14 yrs old is in the fight of her life!  On January 28, 2021, Shannah complained of vision changes, double vision, her right eye was not tracking.  After tests her optic nerves were swollen.  Pressure was rising around her brain.  She went to the ER at Mayo Clinic for a CT scan.   On January 29, 2021 after an MRI revealed a tumor the size of a small orange.  It was compressing  her brain.  Surgery was being planned and she left for St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester.   Her first surgery to remove the tumor was February 3, 2021.  Frozen sections of the tumor showed medulloblastoma, brain cancer.  She struggled with vomiting and pain post surgery as this made for long and stressful days and nights.  Moving forward, a dime size piece was left and another surgery is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2021.   Then she will need a spinal tap two weeks after surgery, radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks all to be done in Rochester, MN.  This could be a nine month process.
As you can imagine, this will cause a financial hardship for her family.  Jon and Tina are staying by Shannah's side in Rochester and are not working.  Future traveling, gas, home expenses, food and medical expenses are just a few of the worries they have on their mind along with getting Shannah well and home again.
Shannah loves music and has an amazing singing voice.  She's always smiling and is a friend to all who know her.  She's active in church and school and truly enjoys helping people and living life!  The Juliot family is an incredible, caring Christian family who never miss an opportunity to help someone.  Shannah has a strong faith and belief in God and this is sustaining her and her family through this tough time.

Please consider helping this family as they are going to need additional support and funds through this journey with Shannah.  No amount is too small, and of course, your prayers are always WELCOME!  Thank you for reading Shannah's story and supporting her through this journey.
