Shani's Path from Grief to Hope

My name is Shani Lambert. I am a former truck driver. I lost my 24 yr old son & his girlfriend to a fatal car accident in 2021. I ended up losing my house I owned for 22 yrs in 2023 & my vehicles engine went bad & I couldn't afford the fix. I lived in the sleepers of the 18 wheelers I drove for the next 2 yrs until the company I worked for in Chicago sent me home on false pretenses & never called me back & wouldn't take my calls because I wouldn't run off the clock is what I eventually found out. I got really depressed after that, spiraling downhill & I almost took my life. I am currently homeless & a very nice gentleman at the job bought me a car & it needs work. The ac is shot & lately it's been dangerously hot. I just need help getting it fixed, fixing my credit which is a $4,500 debt & putting deposit, first & last months rent on an apartment my daughter & myself. I've never been the type to ask anybody for anything so doing this is hard & kind of embarrassing. But I was told if you don't ask you'll never know. I want to be the role model my daughter always looked at me as, but right now I don't feel like I'm meeting that goal.
