A 43-year-old Shanika Lee died from gunshot wounds after an incident near 76th and Bobolink in Milwaukee early Sunday, January 8th.

Shanika leaves behind three beautiful children, family and friends that love her. She also leaves behind a granddaughter, sister, mother, and father.

Shanika was a day care worker and had a passion for her children and community. Her untimely death is due to a senceless violence. Police are still looking for the person responsible for taking her life.

Shanika was without insurence and the family is asking for help to give their love one a proper burial.
