Help Shani Carson's Darwin Council Election Campaign

Help me become a fresh new voice for Richardson Ward on City of Darwin Council through the Local Government Elections on 23 August 2025!

I’m a born and bred Darwin local, mum of two Territorians, and passionate community volunteer. I was born in the Northern Suburbs and have called Lyons home since 2010.

Over the years I’ve volunteered in all kinds of roles — school councils, grassroots sport, local events, industry committees — because I believe strong communities come from people getting involved. I’m running for Council because I believe local decisions should deliver real value for community — not just what’s cheapest or most convenient, but what actually works for the people who live here.

My 'big three' are:

1. Better Public Spaces

2. Smart Local Spending

3. Honest, Transparent Decisions

I am completely Independent, not affiliated with any political parties, interest groups, business lobbyists or other agendas. That also means I am completely self-funded and resourced. If you would like to donate, your contribution make a huge difference to getting my message out there. You would be doing so altruistically - while you will have my gratitude, my only obligation and commitment going forward is to fearlessly and impartially represent the diverse and wonderful residents of the City of Darwin!
