Firstly, we would like to thank everyone who is taking the time to read Shanes story ❤️
Where it all began..
After undergoing surgery due a broken arm at age 7, a large mass in the elbow region had appeared throughout the years. It was eventually diagnosed as a torn artery with a surrounding blood clot (after numerous of misdiagnosis’ by doctors). Surgery was planned 4 months later. One week after surgery in December 2018, Shane Windsor age 27 was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, a rare form of bone and soft tissue cancer (1-3 in a million diagnoses per year).
Shane completed 25 rounds of radiotherapy in March and is now recovering from his first of many major surgeries to come. Nerves from both calves, a vessel, muscle and skin graft from thighs were sacrificed to reconstruct his arm which has left very little movement in the hand/fingers. Having the natural ability in building and being the industrious person that he is, this will unfortunately affect the rest of his life.
Those of you who know Shane, know that this fight is no match for him in the long run, with his positive attitude and his every day smile and laughter, however it will be very costly in regards to having to leave his job of 8 years as a senior sign writer.
We kindly reach out to you all to help lighten his and the family’s financial stress for the long journey ahead.
We will be forever grateful for any donations big or small and will be used for costs of living, ongoing care, medical costs along the way, schooling for a new career and lawyer fees.
