Shane's Memorial: A Family's Heartfelt Plea

Hi, my name is Jordin, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your help. On March 1, 2025, we lost my dad, Shane, after a long and brutal battle with lung disease. He had been sick for about a month, first hospitalized with Influenza A, then sent home on oxygen, only to be diagnosed with Fibrosis of the lungs, COPD, and emphysema. Just a few weeks later, he was back in the hospital with pneumonia. His lungs had deteriorated so much that there was nothing left to sustain his oxygen, and he never got to come home again.

Our dad was one of the kindest, most generous souls you could ever meet. Even when life was hard for him, he always found a way to help others. He had a tough road, but his heart never wavered. Family meant everything to him—his kids, grandkids, and those he loved. He was goofy, kind, and full of love, and if you ever needed a hand, he was the first to offer his, no questions asked.

We are continuing to raise funds to cover costs for expenses that arise throughout the process of laying our Dad to rest, giving him a proper Celebration of Life & a beautiful headstone to honor his memory and visit long after he’s been gone. We never imagined we’d have to ask for help like this, but here we are, reaching out to anyone who has a little heart to spare.
