Shane's Fight Against Seizures and Eviction
Donation protected
I'm Jay and I'm starting this fund for my brother, Shane.
In September 2022, he had a seizure prior to us moving downstate. After moving here, he had testing done, but nothing came back from it. Flash forward to April of 2024, and Shane had two grand mal seizures, one at work and one at the hospital. This started a long year of him being medicated, but every few months or so, he had more seizures. Over the course of the year, Shane has had at least 15 seizures. He has also had to let go of his job at McDonald's because they wouldn't demote him from shift lead, which was proving to be too much stress and has caused some of his seizures. While he has a job lined up, he has to wait a week or so for everything to go through.
Because of how much he has missed work over the year due to his body fighting him every chance it can, he has gotten severely behind on rent and other bills and is now over 3k behind. Despite our communication with his landlord to work out payment arrangements, Shane is now facing a 7-day notice to pay off all past due charges or be faced with an immediate eviction notice.
All donations will be going towards his past due bills, so he can keep his apartment. It has been a long year for us all, and we appreciate any and all help that is given.
